The legs are forged from 1” and 3/4” square bars; hammered and shaped to slick, dynamic curves. Finely detailed stretchers are wrapped around the legs and shaped to enhance both the structural integrity and aesthetics of each piece respectively. Legs are precision TIG welded to the upper frame. The tops are made of reclaimed walnut from 19th century Ohio barns. 1” material was used as horizontal boards in livestock stalls. The 1 3/4” thick material was sawed from an 8”x8” hand-hewn beam that was part of the barns structure. Original surface has been left in tact, complete with adze marks and stray nails. Tall table top has two structural/decorative hard maple butterfly joints. Both tops have a scrub planed surface.
